Your opportunity

Do you have a background in Electrical Engineering, an affinity with technology, and a passion for sustainability? Then the most modern and complex offshore wind projects are waiting for you!

As an Electrical & Instrumentation Designer, you will work in an international and multidisciplinary team, under the guidance of a Lead E&I Designer.

You will work in the field of offshore energy activities, and you will help to develop projects such as offshore converter platforms, that convert alternating current to direct current, in order to connect offshore wind farms to the onshore installations. 

What you will do

  • Preparing construction drawings and lists
  • Executing the E&I design of LV/HV distribution systems, fire detection systems, and lightning
  • Creating block diagrams, hook-ups, layouts, and cable lists
  • Making 3D modelling & 2D drawings
  • Connecting cables in SmartPlant Instrumentation
  • Reporting to the Lead Designer E&I
  • Cooperating on a daily basis with other team members, by using each other’s technical expertise for the best benefit of the project

What you already have

  • BSc. or MSc. degree in Electrical Engineering, or similar
  • Good working knowledge of AutoCAD, and experience with SmartPlan is a big plus
  • Passion for technology
  • Excellent communication and people skills, since you will be communicating with other internal departments
  • Ability to work in a highly complex technical environment, so expect to be positively challenged
  • Fluent English, so you can communicate efficiently with your multicultural team
  • Available for full-time in the Rotterdam area
