Your opportunity

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks related to the field of electrical engineering. You will be involved in the initial proposal phase of projects and will be responsible for developing design proposals and performing technical calculations. Throughout the project, you will work collaboratively with a team of engineers to ensure that all engineering documents are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Your technical and practical knowledge will be essential in creating innovative and effective designs.

What you will do

  • Develop and produce engineering deliverables such as specification documents, functional descriptions, schematic drawings, and test/validation plans to contribute to the engineering process
  • Conduct technical calculations to ensure the design meets the required standards
  • Participate in design checks and reviews to ensure the design meets the necessary quality standards
  • Write technical and functional specification documents to support the project
  • Analyze costs of offers and work with the Purchase department to manage vendor and subcontractor contributions to the project
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable requirements and specifications, as required by the customer and Class
  • Manage vendor and subcontractor contributions to the project to ensure timely delivery
  • Develop and document working standards and methods
  • Provide support for producing and submitting proposals to customers
  • Provide technical support or perform commissioning activities for contracted projects

What you already have

  • +3 years of experience in the design and installation of Complex Electrical Systems onboard the ships or offshore installation
  • BSc. or MSc. degree in Electrical Engineering or related fileds
  • Good working knowledge of EMC regulations and compliance precautions
  • Good theoretical & practical knowledge of class and flag rules & regulations
  • Excellent communication and people skills, since you will be communicating with other internal departments, as well as external stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a highly complex technical environment, so expect to be positively challenged
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent English, so you can communicate efficiently with your multi-cultural team
  • Available for full-time in the Rotterdam Area
  • EU citizenship is a must, due to the nature of the military projects
