Your opportunity

As a Draughtsman (Project-Based), you will join the Structures, Plans & Arrangements team within a high-end naval engineering environment. In this role, you will be responsible for enriching foundation drawings with detailed machining information, ensuring components can be correctly aligned, fixed, and supported during installation.

You will work closely with mechanical engineers, installation teams, and suppliers to deliver high-quality production documentation. Operating within a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will create accurate 3D drawings and ensure all technical requirements and approvals are met.

What you will do

  • Independently create machining and production drawings for foundations.
  • Add detailed information such as machining specifications, bolt configurations, and grouting requirements.
  • Work in 3D CAD environments (e.g., SolidWorks or 3DExperience/CATIA) to produce accurate models and drawings.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, installation teams, and suppliers to ensure manufacturability and proper alignment.
  • Identify technical challenges and proactively propose solutions to the multidisciplinary team lead.
  • Ensure drawings meet applicable standards, project specifications, and approval requirements.
  • Adapt to evolving project needs and maintain awareness of relevant technical developments.

What you already have

  • BSc. or MSc. degree in Naval Architecture
  • +2 years of experience creating production and machining drawings
  • Hands-on experience with 3D CAD systems such as SolidWorks or 3DExperience (CATIA).
  • Strong understanding of machining, foundation detailing, and production requirements.
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment security screening.
  • Permanent EU citizenship is a must due to the nature of the projects
