Your opportunity

Do you have a background in the offshore wind sector and a passion for sustainability? In this role, you will be responsible for delivering cutting-edge engineering solutions that drive the success of tender projects and studies, with a focus on Offshore Wind technology. The studies may involve front-end conceptual engineering, the initiation of the new product developments, as well as the enhancement of existing specialized knowledge. You will work closely with the Technology Manager Floating Wind and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of sustainable products.

What you will do

  • Execute multi-disciplinary design and engineering tasks, ensuring high-quality output within budget and on schedule
  • Provide essential technology input and support cross-functional collaboration for seamless integration of design elements
  • Manage and respond to comments from internal and external stakeholders, including clients, authorities, and verification bodies, to secure timely design approvals
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in Floating Wind technology, continuously enhancing your knowledge and skills
  • Drive innovation by proposing and developing creative concepts that enhance competitiveness, all while maintaining industry standards and tools in coordination with the line manager
  • Act as a technology specialist, leveraging expertise in assigned concepts, designs, principles, and methods, and actively protecting Intellectual Property (IP) while staying informed about relevant patents in existence

It is a privately owned company that delivers floating energy solutions and complex mooring equipment to the global oil & gas and renewables industries. Besides having proven capabilities in engineering and developing installations for harsh offshore conditions, they own and operate their own fleet of FPSOs.   • Challenging engineering environment, particularly in developing equipment for extreme offshore conditions

  • For the size of the projects, a relatively small multi-disciplinary engineering team, with a focus on conceptual and basic design

What you already have

  • A Msc. degree in Naval Architecture, Structural of Aerospace Engineering
  • Experience in the Offshore Industry in Concept or Development Engineering positions
  • In-depth analytical and solution-finding approach, since you will be the one solving multi-disciplinary engineering puzzles
  • Knowledge of Structural Engineering and Wind Turbine Generators
  • Proficiency in and extensive expertise in adhering to regulatory requirements, legislative mandates, and industry standards, codes, practices, and norms
  • Competence in software usage for engineering within the discipline, design analysis, database management, and control tools
  • A convincing and communicative attitude, as you can only be successful in this role if you get all parties involved aligned with your solutions
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent English, so you can communicate efficiently with your multicultural team, authorities and clients worldwide
  • Available for full-time work in the Amsterdam area, and willing to travel occasionally to yards, suppliers and clients
  • Passion for driving renewable technological solutions is key
