Your opportunity

Join us as a Crane Maintenance Superintendent, and become the expert responsible for the integrity and performance of advanced lifting systems across the fleet. You will play a pivotal role in defining maintenance strategies, ensuring compliance with international standards, and supporting the crew and projects with in-depth knowledge of cranes and lifting operations. What you will do

  • Define and manage repair and maintenance activities for cranes across the offshore fleet.
  • Monitor and maintain sufficient inventory of critical spares and wire ropes.
  • Provide support for unplanned maintenance, inspections, calibrations, and fault diagnostics.
  • Review downtime events, audit findings, and propose preventive and corrective actions.
  • Contribute to lifting plans and provide expert advice during heavy lift operations.
  • Ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 4309, IMCA M 194, LOLER, and classification rules.
  • Regularly visit vessels to inspect cranes and monitor equipment status.
  • Collaborate across departments to promote safe, sustainable, and efficient operations.
  • Mentor junior team members and share knowledge across teams.

What you already have

  • A BSc/MSc in Maritime Technology, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in crane maintenance and rigging in offshore environments.
  • Deep understanding of wire rope management and inspection standards (ISO 4309, IMCA M 194).
  • Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and fault-finding skills; knowledge of control systems is a plus.
  • Analytical mindset with sound judgment and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to influence and advise teams across technical and operational levels.
  • Good communicator in English, both written and spoken.
  • Available for full-time work in the Hague area, and occasional travelling around the globe
