Your opportunity

As the Configuration Process Manager, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that complex engineering projects run smoothly and meet strict quality standards. You will be the coordinator who brings order to the process: setting up effective CM frameworks, managing change controls, and keeping everything on track. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, you will collaborate with diverse teams, streamline processes, and help drive projects to successful completion.

What you will do

  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of configuration management processes to meet project goals and quality standards
  • Create and manage Configuration Management Plans for tenders and ongoing projects, in coordination with planning and financial requirements
  • Coordinate and manage change requests, making sure all changes are properly documented and traceable
  • Establish and oversee configuration management for new projects, collaborating with customers, partners, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth execution
  • Manage the distribution and exchange of project data in accordance with configuration management principles
  • Conduct audits on project deliverables and oversee the collection and distribution of maintenance and training documentation
  • Provide ongoing support and strategic advice to project teams, offering solutions to configuration management challenges
  • Train and guide teams on internal configuration management standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, evolving processes to meet business needs

What you already have

  • At least 5 years of experience managing configuration management processes in complex engineering or project-driven settings
  • Certification as a CM-II practitioner or expert is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, particularly in industries such as shipbuilding, aerospace, or other engineering-to-order sectors
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and coach teams to implement best practices in configuration management
  • Fluent in English, with proficiency in additional languages (e.g., Dutch) seen as a plus
  • Permanent EU citizenship and passport are required due to project security protocols. Applicants with only a work visa or dual non-EU citizenship are ineligible
