Your opportunity

Step into an exciting role as a Commissioning Engineer in the luxury yacht-building industry. In this position, you will be part of a dynamic project team, taking ownership of daily operations from the contract phase through to the delivery of the yacht. Your work will be based at a state-of-the-art shipyard, where you will report directly to the Project Lead Commissioning.

What you will do

  • Oversee the commissioning, checking, and testing of various systems installed during new construction or refit projects.
  • Identify and resolve errors or deviations to maintain project quality.
  • Verify that installed systems comply with safety requirements and quality standards.
  • Design and execute test programs, including Harbour Acceptance Tests (HAT) and Sea Acceptance Tests (SAT).
  • Prepare comprehensive test reports to document results and processes.
  • Analyze issues and implement corrective actions, solutions, and repairs.
  • Arrange necessary tools, materials, and resources for testing.
  • Train system users, ensuring proper knowledge transfer and operational safety.

What you already have

  • BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Maritime Technology
  • +2 years of relevant experience in luxury yacht building and a similar role
  • Knowledge of Class & Flag regulations
  • Strong professional knowledge of yacht-building processes.
  • A decisive approach with experience in managing and improving processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent English, so you can communicate efficiently with your multicultural team
