Your opportunity

This is an interim role on a temporary basis for at 12 months.

In this role, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between technical and administrative functions. You will be handling changes that can arise from customer requirements and may involve various documents, drawings, calculations, and other factors. These changes can be initiated by different entities such as customers, partners, subcontractors, suppliers, and Class. Change Management is a crucial part of Configuration Management and involves providing technical and administrative support to control the primary process, also known as the value chain. You must have a good understanding of the engineering process to be able to work effectively with executing engineers and navigate the complexities of potential changes. The role also involves coordinating and organizing activities related to changes while being sensitive to the attitudes of colleagues and working collaboratively with them.

What you will do

  • Assist with initiating changes and creating issue identification and description sheets (ICRs)
  • Ensure that the appropriate level of change has been assigned and verified
  • Develop and carry out, or delegate, impact analysis actions as necessary
  • Monitor the progress of changes and communicate with action holders as needed
  • Organize and prepare Change Board meetings at the appropriate level
  • Draft meeting minutes and/or progress logs
  • Initiate change implementation and ensure that implementation actions are planned, executed, and communicated
  • Verify changes have been implemented properly and closed out

What you already have

  • +2 years of experience as a Naval Architect within shipbuilding sectors 
  • Broad General Engineering knowledge about shipbuilding, as you are the interface between the technical and administrative content of the project
  • Available for working full-time in Vlissingen
  • Excellent English, so you can communicate efficiently with your multi-cultural team
  • Willingness to perform a background check
  • EU citizenship is a must, due to the nature of the military projects
