As a CAPEX Project Engineer, you support ongoing and future investment projects for upgrading the production facilities. You will manage the successful implementation of various projects to ensure that equipment and facilities meet the optimum operational needs. You are responsible for the project scope, schedule, risks, budget, and working together with different technical disciplines.

What you will do

  • Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and meeting high quality and operational standards
  • Provide project leadership using engineering principles working along a multidisciplinary team of engineers (mechanical, electrical, controls, production, etc.)
  • Act as technical point of contact for suppliers and subcontractors
  • Create and maintain project documentation, plans, and reports
  • Provide regular updates to the operations management

On the coast near the Dutch city of Haarlem, our client operates state-of-the-art production facilities for the extrusion of thermoplastic composite pipes. An independent company that delivers lightweight, high-strength, and corrosion-resistant pipe solutions for renewable energy and oil & gas applications worldwide. What you already have

  • BSc. in Mechanical Engineering¸ Industrial Engineering or related technical education
  • 3+ years of working experience as a Project Engineer in a technical or manufacturing environment
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Projects
  • Strong team player & hands-on attitude, experienced in leading multidisciplinary teams
  •  Ability to work in a high-paced, entrepreneurial & multicultural environment
  •  Excellent communication skills and fluent English, so you can communicate efficiently with your multicultural team
  •  Available for full-time in IJmuiden
