Your opportunity

As an After Sales Purchaser, you will be responsible for purchasing and sourcing a great variety of services and goods working together with your colleagues in the After Sales department. You make sure all the relevant equipment, services, and goods arrive on time and with the right quality to deliver great service to your clients. What you will do

  • Reporting directly to the Section Head of Procurement and working closely with your colleagues in the after-sales team
  • Identifying, sourcing, and purchasing materials and equipment required for projects in the Offshore industry
  • Managing the procurement process, from identifying potential suppliers to negotiating terms and conditions 
  • Expediting deliveries and ensuring timely receipt of materials and equipment
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of material and services
  • Maintaining accurate procurement records and documentation, to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Continuously seeking ways to improve procurement processes & procedures, and staying up to date with market trends

With this trusted client in the Amsterdam area, we have a long-lasting relationship. It is a privately owned company that delivers floating energy solutions and complex mooring equipment to the global oil & gas and renewables industries. Besides having proven capabilities in engineering and developing installations for harsh offshore conditions, they own and operate their own fleet of FPSOs.   • Challenging engineering environment, particularly in developing equipment for extreme offshore conditions

  • For the size of the projects, a relatively small multi-disciplinary engineering team, with a focus on conceptual and basic design
  • Combining in one close-knit company: EPCI contractor and offshore fleet-owner-operator

What you already have

  • +5 years of experience in procurement and expediting, preferably in offshore oil and gas environments
  • Technical degree & knowledge of mechanical engineering is a plus! 
  • Experienced with INCOTERMS
  • Great communication in English and social skills, to be able to build strong relationships with suppliers and internally
  • You enjoy working in fast-paced & high-tech environments in the O&G industry
